To our cherished clients, To say we couldn’t have done it without you might sound obvious, but the truth is, your loyalty and your choice to shop with Good Sports, time and time again, meant the world to us.
It all began in 1982 when Tommy and Marscha opened Good Sports with a singular vision: to offer South Texans nothing but the best in sports footwear, clothing, and equipment. At the time, high-end, top-quality products were much harder to come by.
Our journey began at the Colonnade off Wurzbach, where you came to us for mainstream sports gear, clothing, footwear, and skiwear in the winter.
In the 1990s, you found us at our second location—a pro shop in the Concord Athletic Club—where we provided the finest gym clothing, footwear, and squash and racquetball racquets. Later, we opened a third store on Loop 410, across from the famous boots at North Star Mall, where we transitioned into a more outdoor-focused theme that carried us through the years.
In 2000, we consolidated these three locations into one big, beautiful store on DeZavala and I-10. And once again, you followed us, supporting our expansion into hunting gear and furthering our reach into travel essentials.
You embraced the personalized service and family atmosphere that became our hallmark—something increasingly rare in today’s world. Your decision to support Good Sports was a choice we never took for granted, and we are profoundly grateful.
To each and every one of you: thank you. Loyalty is one of life’s great treasures, and you have shown us nothing but unwavering dedication.
