A Letter of Thanks To: Tommy and Marscha
Tommy and Marscha—aka Dad and Mom, Thank you.
I am beyond blessed to have had the privilege of working alongside my parents for the past 43 years.
But the truth is, you’ve been “parents” not just to me, but to all of our staff for just as long.
Every one of your “kids” that you hired and trained has come back years later to say thank you—sharing how you changed their lives for the better.
The knowledge, expertise, and experience you passed on have become tools they carry into their futures, using them every single day.
You gave all of us—your “kids”—a wonderful workplace and incredible products to learn about and sell.
This unique combination built our stellar reputation and brought repeat clients from all over the world.
Thanks to you both, since 1982, Good Sports has been synonymous with an exceptional product mix and unparalleled service in San Antonio and South Texas.
Whether it was bats, balls, gloves, helmets, pads, and tennis rackets in the ’80s, or top-of-the-line ski wear and hunting apparel in the 2000s, we were always at the forefront of every category we entered.
So, thank you, Mom and Dad. I’m excited for you both as you enter your next chapter; no one is more deserving.
What a ride it has been.
I wish you both a long and healthy retirement as you step into your mid-70s.
I cannot thank you enough for the life that Good Sports has provided—not just for me and our family, but for so many families throughout its 43-year history.
Thank you.
Most sincerely and forever yours, Jordan Lauterstein, your son. (Now tears…)
